A couple of months ago Teresa Gómez and Lola Sánchez asked me if I would help them design and put together an artist’s book made up of a poem by Teresa and images by Lola. It sounded like a delicious little project for summer mornings. These are the pictures that Mike made today when we started pulling the edition. We´re all delighted with what we have achieved.
.
Would it be possible to see closeup photos of all the pages you printed? I have several ideas for artists´books.

Hi Maureen, Your post with the day in your studio with your grandchildren is lovely. It reminded me that I wanted to write to inquire about the making of artists´books in your studio. Are there more images of the work that these artists did that I could see? What technique did you use? Solar prints? In solar printmaking, is the image reversed, as in etching, or is it direct, as in silkscreen? I´m happy to say that my legs are progressing wonderfully, I no longer use crutches and am walking with Tono and the dog almost everyday. My goal is to walk a kilometer in 15 minutes, so far I´m at about 900 meters in about 18 minutes. To the point where we turn around and back home is, therefore, almost 2 km. I am ecstatic. Six months ago I couldn´t even navigate around the house without crutches and a lot of pain. How long were Teresa and Lola in your studio working? How many pages were in the book and what was the finished size of the book? From looking at the photos, I think you printed two pages at the same time, ¿no? How many colors on each page? How was the book bound? Did you print a cover? How long were Teresa and Lola there? I´m very interested in this as a project for myself and would appreciate any and all information. Thank you so very much, Jane
