If you’ve booked a workshop with Maureen in Granada, perhaps you’re wondering what you need to bring with you in the way of tools and accessories.
Unless you’re an ultra-light iPhone-only traveler there are a few things you might bring along to make for a more-pleasant stay in El Gallinero, beginning with your digital camera and your music, this on any support you like: MP3 player, smartphone, iPad, laptop, or whatever. The Gallinero has a nice computer speaker system which will work with any of these.
So, the short answer is:
Bring just your personal-favorite tools and materials. Maureen supplies all standard workshop materials as part of the course experience, including all proofing paper. A small edition on handmade paper is included in the workshop. More handmade paper is extra, as are extra plates.
The longer answer is:
- Some of your sketches and drawings, whether on paper or digital supports
- Sensible walking shoes, T-shirts and shorts in summer, woolies in winter
- Your laptop or iPad, your cellphone if you think you need it, and at least one USB pen drive. The Gallinero has a reliable Wi-Fi Internet connection.
- A piece of luggage big enough to take home a package of small and medium-sized prints
- All of your enthusiasm and willingness to work hard to take your printmaking to the next level!
